1. You will relax. When you are scaling the mountains of clutter in your home, your
blood pressure is bound to go up. By getting organized, your stress levels will go
down.
2. You will have more time. By being more efficient, like getting your projects done
more quickly, wasting less time searching for things, you will spend less time
"working" and will have more time for yourself, your loved ones, and the things you
love to do.
3. You will feel confident. Being disorganized often results in embarrassment. You
may be anxious at the thought of someone dropping by your home unexpectedly and
seeing your "mess." Get organized and you will feel good about your surroundings.
4. Become a role model. If you have kids at home, it is important to not only teach
organization, but to also be a role model for organization. Teach your children
life-long skills to prepare them for their future independence.
5. You will be healthier. Get organized and you will be able to create time to exercise
and cook healthy meals for yourself and your family.
6. You will breathe easier. An organized environment tends to be a much cleaner
environment. Dust bunnies, chaos, and clutter--be gone!
7. Professionally speaking... An organized person gives a much better impression
than someone who cannot find their business card, a contact, or is always late for
appointments.
8. You WILL save money. Ever buy someone a gift or card and you cannot find it? You
then have to go out and replace the misplaced gift--you've wasted time, money, and
your energy. Have to pay late fees because the bill is lost? Again, losing money.
9. You will achieve more. When you are disorganized, you are continually fighting
against those obstacles in your path--be it paper, clutter, or too many things. Being
organized allows you time to work on your goals.
10. Peace. You will have time to stop and smell the roses and focus your energy into
more important things.
