1. First, enjoy the less hectic pace and the long summer evenings.
2. You should have TWO--"To Do Lists". One list is your Daily To Do List. You should not
have more than seven items on your daily list and prioritize with the most important
at number one.
3. Your second list should be Long Term/Large Projects that will eventually go on a daily
To Do List. Here are some examples: (ex: powerwash the house, paint
the fence, repair gate, etc...) These items are not pressing and do not typically have
a deadline.
4. Pick your priorities. Literally make a top ten list. Pick number one, make a plan
FIRST; what tools do you need, what weather will be best, plan ahead, who will help,
what other factors need to be considered to achieve maximum results?
5. "Minimize Your Steps." What can you do while you are in the midst of the project to
minmize your steps? How can you set it up to be more productive on the back end?
(Ex: Getting items ready to recycle. Make sure you have sturdy, plastic, washable,
and efficient bins set up in the corner of your garage.) Think efficiency!
