Greetings!
|
|
March Madness is upon us.
For sports enthusiasts that undoubtedly means basketball. For
accountants, it's tax time. For an organizer, it means
spring and time to clear the clutter!
We want to help you conquer the
paper trail this month with ideas and products to make your life
easier. Also, make a plan to clean out your closets and celebrate
spring.
We have a new face at All
Squared Away. Andi Basset is our family organizing
specialist. Email Andi with your organizing dilemma
at andi@allsquaredaway.com
and your question may be featured in her new column coming in April.

The Closet
Brigade
|
Rule # 1:
Store Items Seasonally
Think of your closet as
"prime real estate." Purchase some totes to store
clothing, shoes, sweaters, etc. according to season (Spring/Summer,
Fall/Winter). Make sure to label the outside. Twice a year,
swap out one season for the other.
Rule # 2: Look Up. Look
Down. Look Behind.
Rule # 3: No Wire
Hangers!
Rule # 4: Categorize
& Color Coordinate
Categorize clothing. Keep
your business clothes together, then casual clothes, then every day
clothes, etc. Hang by color going from lightest to
darkest. Keep your garmets all hanging in one
direction.
Rule # 5: Purge.
Purge. Purge.
Try clothes
on. Donate items that you haven't worn in a year, are
outdated, or don't make you feel good.

My Mantra:
