Learn Something New!
| Learning new things gives way to a variety of personal breakthroughs. When we learn, we are able to deepen our character, understand the views of others, and expand our minds and expertise.
See some suggestions below for new things to learn:
- Read a new blog every week: Blogging has become a hugely popular industry in today's world. Search blogs based on your interests, whether that's health, cooking, football, or books. You'll be surprised at the wealth of knowledge of others, and you can learn a lot from them!
- Bookmark/Read The Free Dictionary: This site features an Article of the Day, Word of the Day, and News...among many other tidbits! The Free Dictionary is a one stop shop for all things learning related.
- Learn About Organization: Closet Organization is a quick tutorial, giving some great ideas to organize your closet and lose the clutter!
Part of August is Simplify Your Life Week. It's always a good idea to take the time to make life a little bit easier. Putting the effort in now will reap great rewards down the road, and keeping things simple will make the process much easier!
Some great ways to Simplify Your Life:
- Make a To Do List: Create a basic list at the start of each day, prioritizing items in order. Refer back to the list often, and feel great when you can check things off!
- Evaluate Your Time: Take a few moments to really analyze how you're spending your valuable time. Do you lose focus when doing certain activities? If so, find ways to get rid of distractions and focus your time. Make a list of your day-to-day activities and the time spent doing each.
- Get Rid of Clutter: Go through your things and decide what you really, truly need to keep around. Leaving some space gives way to feelings of freedom and accomplishment. Donate some of your items to local charity Timmy's Fund, or bring items to our local Goodwill Store.
